Two Hill City Middle School Lego robotics team entered the Lego robotics regional tournament in Rapid City Dec. 7.
Two Hill City Middle School Lego robotics teams qualified for the state tournament, with a team consisting of Max Rupert, Leo Daiss, Ethan Eanau, Aiden Voorhees, Grace Daiss and Luke Rupert called the “Ranger Robotics” winning thetournament.
Every Tuesday and Thursday for the last couple of weeks students at Hill City Elementary School have been gaining real world, hands-on experience.
This experience is done through the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) academy put on by four Hill City Elementary School teachers—Jamie Henderson, Linda Scott, Karen Gardner and Kassie Willard.
Earlier in the month, Hill City High School students Mikennah Oleson (sophomore), Mercedes Reed (senior), Holden Stach (senior) and Jaydon Rogers (senior) traveled to Sioux Falls to represent their school in the All State Choir.
The All State Choir, Rogers said, is a very large choir that performs every year.
