Area Christmas services planned
As Christmas comes to Custer, many churches will have special services to observe the holiday.
Crossroads Church will have two services on the 24th, a normal church service at 10:10 a.m. and a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 4:30 p.m..
Custer Community Church will have a special service on Christmas Eve. The 5:30 p.m. service will include choir numbers, congregational singing of carols, and the candle-lit singing of “Silent Night.”
Custer Lutheran Fellowship will have Christmas Eve services by candlelight at 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in addition to its regular Sunday morning service at 9:30 a.m.
Living Outreach Church will have a special children’s performance at its Christmas Eve morning service, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Mountainview Baptist will begin their Christmas celebrations with caroling on Thursday at 6 p.m. and then will have services on Christmas Eve at their regular times, but will also have an evening service at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will have Christmas Eve mass at 5:30 Sunday in addition to 8 a.m. mass. There will also be Christmas mass at 8 a.m.
Amazing Grace Fellowship will have regular services on Sunday, beginning at 9:30 a.m..
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will have their service at 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve.
In Hermosa, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have a variety of Christmas services with holy communion, beginning Thursday with a “quiet” Christmas service. by candlelight. That service begins at 6:30 p.m. Advent services will continue to Sunday at 9:30 a.m., and then Christmas Eve services by candlelight at 4 and 7 p.m.
St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hermosa will have their regular Sunday mass at 9 a.m. Christmas Eve.
Pringle United Methodist Church will have their regular service on Christmas eve at 9 a.m.
