Custer High School graduation Saturday

Custer High School has set its graduation for this Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the Custer Armory.
Music will be played by the Custer High School band, followed by a welcome from superintendant Mark Naugle.
The 2023 valedictorian is Caylee Dennis while the salutatorian is Denali Rusch. Each of them will speak at the ceremony. The top five students in the class will also be recognized.
For adult speakers, the class has asked one of their former elementary school teachers, Casey Trandem, and high school English teacher Sydney Hickman to each give a speech.
Following the class speeches there will be a viewing of the senior slideshow and the presentation of diplomas.
The class colors are purple, black and gold; the white lily is its class flower; and the class song is “Long Live” (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift. Its motto  is “We all have our time machines, don’t we? Those that take us back are memories…And those that carry us forward are dreams” by H.G. Wells, “The Time Machine.”
