Melita Graber

Melita Luise Graber was born in Harrow, Ontario, Canada, March 23, 1937, to Jacob and Maria Goerzen.  
She married Richard Graber of Hutchinson, Kan., Dec. 27, 1958.
Melita passed away at her home in Rapid City Oct. 7, 2023, at the age of 86.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith Penner; and brother, Gert Goerzen.
Melita is survived by her husband, Dick; sons, Dennis (Sherrell) Graber of Smithton, Ill., and his children Jonathan (Paige), Linden (Paige), Alessandra (James) and Ghillean (Nathan) Barron, Terry (Marcia) Graber of Rapid City, S.D., and his children Melanie (Erin) Krause, Andrew (Claire), and James (Danna); and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 20, at Hillsview Evangelical Free Church, 13776 Sturgis Rd., in Piedmont, S.D. A light lunch will be provided and interment will occur later in Hutchinson, Kan.
