Roseellen Hamaker
Roseellen Mae “Rosey” Hamaker was born May 26, 1955, in Omaha, Neb., to Myron and Stella (Scott) Campbell. Rosey grew up in a music-loving family.
As a child she played the clarinet and she and her siblings in their spare time would have a jamboree. Rose had a love for life, a laugh that would brighten up any room, an enjoyment for gardening, a passion for helping people and her greatest joy was being with her family and friends.
Rosey, of Custer, S.D., passed away March 29, 2023, at Monument Health Hospice House in Rapid City, S.D. She was 67.
Rosey is survived by her daughter, Myra Alexander of Custer; sons, Jacob Leeling of St. Paul, Minn., and Mark Leeling of Covington, La.; stepdaughters, Cheryl Shook of Edgemont, S.D., Diane Hamaker of Rapid City, S.D., and Jody Tackett of Milford, Iowa; stepsons, Grant Hamaker of Edgemont and Donny Hamaker of Oral, S.D.; sister, Suzette Caldarelli; brothers, Brock Campbell and Mike Campbell; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many honorary children and grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are her four loving grandchildren and Donovan Krah.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, April 28 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hot Springs, S.D.
Committal services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 28, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, S.D.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer.
