Trade Show Saturday
Vendors from as far away as Gillette, Wyo., and Broken Bow, Neb., will be showing their wares and services this Saturday at the Custer Armory during the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Trade Show. Everything from lamb meat to UTVs and power equipment will be on display and this year participants can even test out a mattress.
Custer Area Chamber of Commerce Office Manager Dawn Murray said there are about 50 vendors signed up so far with many of them being from out of town and even out of state. In addition to Gillette and Broken Bow (and of course, Custer) there will be booths from Hot Springs, Box Elder, Spearfish, Rapid City, Sturgis and Rushville, Neb. The Custer County Chronicle will also have a booth again this year and visitors will be able to subscribe to the newspaper and Down Country Roads magazine and register for door prizes.
The chamber will also be doing hourly drawings to give away Custer Cash.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and admission is free.
