It’s Crazy Days here in Custer this weekend, and the remedy to that craziness is some good old retail therapy. Between the plethora of deals and sales at various Custer businesses and the city-wide rummage sale this weekend, there will be no shortage of places to shop around and score a bargain.
“Rummage sales bring a lot of extra traffic to town. It’s a great opportunity for stores to increase their traffic, and its a great time for you the consumer to get some great deals,” said Custer Area Chamber of Commerce director Dawn Murray.
Businesses offering Crazy Days sales and deals this weekend include Jenny’s Floral (Friday only), Art Expressions Gallery, Stone Decor, Good Karma, Black Hills Power Bikes and Boutique, Deep Creek Gallery, A Walk in the Woods, South Dakota Outdoor Shop and RP Lumber. The Custer County Library is also hosting a book sale, and the Custer Chamber of Commerce will have items for sale too. Crazy Days lasts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
On Saturday will be the city-wide rummage sale. The sales will take place at various properties around the area, with some out-of-towners setting up shop in the lawn of the Custer Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sellers are offering up hunting and fishing equipment, exercise equipment, tools, clothing for men, women and children of all ages, sports equipment, dining sets and tables, furniture, grills, collectibles, toys, shoes, tchotchkes and much more.
A complete listing of participants in the rummage sale can be found on page 8 of this week’s issue. An interactive map of locations can also be found on the chamber’s website or Facebook page.
